Production Assistant / Trainee Producer (Spring 2001)

An absolutely genuine one-off opportunity has arisen for a mature production assistant /trainee co-producer to gain av/film production skills - this is a long term work experience training post - minimum 2/3 years with a possible greater role play at ValleyStream in the future - further opportunities becoming available depending on person's character and ability to blend in! Loyalty to the producer and studio team is imperative! Person must be totally honest, reliable and trustworthy, with absolutely no ego slants.
The successful applicant will gain ongoing production skills, eventually leading to making key decisions and developing ideas with the producer and learning the role of producer! Skill gains and role play are very extensive and rewarding! Candidate must be flame-proof, really easy-going - have a reality desire to learn the industry and be able to fit in with a key production team - with the ability to handle people, including clients - basic secretarial/office skills are required!
It's hard work at times, often working unsociable hours! There will be a 4 week trail period - person must be a non-smoker - with a clean driving licence.
This is a unique opportunity for an individual to break into the industry and gain immediate hands-on key skills! Relocation to North Wales for this post is acceptable. Mature Trainee Location Cameraman/Assistant Editor required immediately for work experience. The successful applicant must be looking towards a long-term training commitment with the Studios - the position is for a minimum of 2 years - with a possible greater role play at ValleyStream in the future - further opportunities becoming available depending on character - loyalty to the producer and studio team essential! Person must be totally honest, reliable and trustworthy, with absolutely no ego problems.
It's essential the trainee successfully blends into a highly motivated key production team - developing good working relationships with other team members and clientelle, also needs to be able to work under their own supervision and initiative - making positive key decisions in the interest of the studios - have a burning desire to learn av/film skills and be able to see through extremely tough projects/productions.

An imaginative and creative dreamwriter required who can successfully pen/edit dialogue drama scripts for visual conversions - to work closely with main scriptwriter to make up a new exciting drama scriptwriting team for 2 new serious drama scripts planned to start shortly!
